Fired up my new 4
"Fired up my new 4 Pizze oven yesterday for first time. . . got the fire going, moved it over to left side and flames started rolling over the top just like it’s designed to do!. . . temperature quickly rose to near 1000 degrees Fahrenheit but getting the brick floor up to 750 plus took quite a while. I think the trick to getting the brick floor up to Temperature quicker is to let the fire create a lot of embers on floor before moving it to the side, i think I moved to soon. I used kiln dried oak, no pops or sparks, smoke exiting front cleared fairly quickly after draft through chimney started. In summary, worked great, though first couple of pizzas were less than perfect (first one was a disaster, went right to the garbage can, my fault!), but by the third one, it was getting better and the 5th one was right on! My total came to about $4500. 00 because the 51” cart was $1200. 00, kind of steep for a cart in my view, but quality is excellent. . . I figure I’ll be over 5 grabs by the time all accessories are thrown in (IR temp gun, gloves, tools, dough making accessories, etc. ). My model was a counter top and required moving it from the garage to the pool deck in back of the house. . . would suggest taking the first 2 layers of bricks out to make it more manageable to lift by 2 “seniors”. . . the packaging of the oven and the 51” cart was outstanding, not a scratch or sign of any damage the freight companies did an outstanding job of shipping from Italy! The folks at Spotix. com (Kickass Grills. com and the NA distributor Lakeview) were great as well, thanks for your help!"
