This was the only replacement

"This was the only replacement broom/bristles I could find for my fireplace broom. It's neck was a bit too long, so I had to cut about 1 1/2 inches off. The plastic inside the neck would not cut easily so I took it out and replaced it with a wood stick/dowel. Then I was able to easily screw the neck into my broom handle. The bristles are a bit longer, when hanging on the storage hanger they touch the hearth, but barely, and it works fine now as a hearth broom."
