The Fire by Design BPAWEIS Battery Powered Ignition System Kit provides a high quality component that can be used to complete a DIY fire pit project. The patented All-Weather Electronic Ignition System (AWEIS) features a reliable blend of technology and components to offer a simple and quick ignition to a gas fire feature. The stainless steel control box safely houses the electronic components to withstand the elements in some of the most extreme wind, rain, and other inclement weather. The unit operates on battery power to start the hot surface igniters, which ignite the pilot lights. After the pilots are lit, the thermocouples sense the heat and transfer the electronic signal to open the main gas valves. This unit is rated for a maximum of 290,000 BTU and features optional Bluetooth and WiFi control for convenience.
