The Grand Essex design features a smooth round silhouette that provides a softer, more conversational centerpiece for patios and outdoor living spaces. Designed to pair with Grand Effects CSA-certified burner inserts, this unit can be configured with either SmartSense automated electronic ignition or manual match light operation. The 18-inch round burner is configurable for either natural gas or propane, with automated models rated up to 80,000 BTU and manual models rated up to 65,000 BTU. Fire media is sold separately and not included with the fire table. Grand Effects recommends 4 bags of lava rock, tumbled lava rock, or fire glass for 48-Inch round fire table setups depending on the selected media type. Ceramic stone applications typically use around 400 individual stones. Fire glass is not recommended for propane configurations due to the potential for soot buildup and discoloration. Final media amounts may vary slightly based on burner coverage and placement preference.
