The special formula SG2 micro-carbide powder steel construction creates an exceptionally hard knife designed for long term sharpness while the unique layered Tsuchime finish provides a styled Japanese appearance. The patented Cryodur® ice hardening process strengthens the blade to 63 Rockwell Hardness to protect the blade's edge while the black Cocobolo pakkawood handle offers an exquisite and ergonomic handle with a traditional "D" shape for comfortable use. The Miyabi Morimoto Artisan Collection knives are skillfully crafted by artisans in the samurai sword capitol of the world - Seki, Japan.
