"Does not fit new prestige grills. Bought online thru one of their resellers who sold me a 3K grill and listed this as fitting grill. Nope. No response, no return. They should consider better vetting of their resellers."

"This product was provided to me by Napoleon free of charge for evaluation. This is for a Napoleon Prestige 500 Series natural gas grill. Out of the box the unit required simple assembly. The stainless steel box is three sided with a cross member piece that is attached to the front prior to placement. This drops onto the sizzle zone side burner. The unit offers multiple functions including two levels of cooking using the skewers as well as the ability to raise the sizzle zone burner height for cooking. The sides and back of the unit provides the wind shield. This will provide the shield as long as the wind direction is not coming from the front of the unit. The day I used it the wind was 10-15 mph so not overly windy. The evaluation I was performing was how the skewer rack works. The rack includes four flat metal skewers that simply dropped into the slots provided. They were easy to use and long enough to stay cool. For this evaluation I used all four skewers. Two skewers include chicken breast and two included vegetables. When I assembled the food on the skewers I spaced it apart as I normally do when I use skewers to cook on the main grill. Once I placed them on the unit I found the food needed to be centered on the skewers as the burner was a smaller cooking area. No big deal as I just moved everything into the center. The one disappointment was that the skewers are 3/8” wide. This is too wide to use small food items like cherry tomatoes. Normally when I cook food on skewers I start all the food together so I did the same. However since the sizzle zone is a single burner all food cooks at similar temperature. However I found that the outer left and right skewers are on the outer edges of the burner so it worked good to cook the vegetables on the outside and the chicken on the inside which is hotter. Overall it is a good product. It is something I would use on occasion. Also need to try the different options it offers such as using the Sizzle Zone burner with wind shield and Sizzle Zone cooking grate usage height adjustments with wind shield."
"The Napoleon Side Burner Windshield with Skewer Rack is a fantastic accessory that really upgrades the functionality of my outdoor kitchen setup. Installation was simple and straightforward — it fit perfectly onto my Napoleon side burner without any adjustments needed. The windshield is incredibly effective at blocking wind, which makes a huge difference when grilling on breezy days. It keeps the flame steady and maintains consistent heat, which has definitely improved my cooking results. The built-in skewer rack is a brilliant addition. It’s sturdy and holds the skewers at just the right height for even cooking. I’ve used it for everything from kebabs to grilled veggies, and cleanup is a breeze since it’s designed to lift right out when needed. The build quality is what you’d expect from Napoleon — heavy-duty, durable stainless steel that feels like it’s made to last season after season. Plus, it looks great and blends seamlessly with the rest of my grill setup. Overall, if you use your side burner regularly — especially for things like sauces, sautéing, or skewers — this windshield and rack combo is absolutely worth it. It makes outdoor cooking more reliable, efficient, and fun. Highly recommend!"
"I had the opportunity to try this out and really enjoyed the ability to make food on a skewer. The unit is well made with high quality stainless steel skewers."
"We received the Side Burner Windshield free from Napolean for testing purposes. First off, while we love skewers, we rarely if ever make them because we always felt they were not easy. Who has time to soak bamboo skewers? or who has patience to deal with the mess they make on the grill grates? This product is amazing - it is extremely easy to use, makes amazing skewers, cleans up and stores easily. The set up was simple, we just popped it right on the sizzle zone and began cooking immediately. The handles on the skewers do not get hot, which makes it easy to turn to get even cooking. On our first go around, we made chicken fajita and garlic butter sirloin skewers - figured it would be good to see the difference in cooking times between the meats. (on a side note, we put the garlic butter sirloin skewers on a soft hoagie roll, put a thin slice of provolone on top, put it under the broiler and had a pretty amazing cheese steaks). Both types cooked evenly and tasted great. The only thing we would caution against is putting too much food on each skewer. We utilized the entire skewer but the food on the ends didn't really cook. Next time we will use less. Overall this is a great product that helps create fun and amazing meals!"
"This item was sent to me by Napoleon as part of the tester team. My family loves kebabs, I’m personally not a big fan of them and usually only grill them on occasion. When this item was sent my way, my family was really excited to have a kebab night. I would have never thought to purchase this on my own, but after using it, I really enjoyed the product and the process. I have the Napoleon Prestige grill with the larger sear burner on the side. We grill about 5 nights a week at our house so the grill is almost always in use. I tend to only use the sear station on occasion when grilling thicker larger cuts of meat or quick cooking a skirt steak or hangar steak. I was happy to have a reason to use the sear station to test this product out. The wind shield serves two purposes - blocking the wind from reducing the intensity of the sear station and holding four skewers for making kebabs. It worked admirable for each as I tested it on a day when we were exposed to wind from the remnants of a tropical storm. Cooking the kebabs was super fast, it took half the time in the windshield than it did on the regular grill. I learned a few things along the way: I overloaded the skewers which led to the pieces of meat on the ends not cooking as throughly as the middle. That was not a fault of the product, just a learning experience. Next time I will be sure to be mindful to only load the middle 7-8 inches of the skewer with meat. Turning the skewers so all sides were evenly cooked was easy since the product has a notch that allows the skewers to lay flat or on its side. One thing I noticed is that you have to be mindful of how hot the sear station gets compared to the regular grill and turn the kebabs purposefully so they don’t over char. There is a space limitation due to the size of the sear station so since you can only fit 4 at a time, you do need to be conscious that you need to keep the cooked kebabs warm if cooking for a larger group (I used the main grill on indirect low heat for that). By keeping the wind screened my sear burner seemed to get much warmer than I expected which was a really nice result. I’m looking forward to searing a steak and seeing how the crust comes out. The product is well constructed with almost no assembly - just fit the front kebab holder into place and get grilling. All in all, I see the value in owning this item and will get more use than I expected out of it as time goes on. The skewers and the windscreen are well made and they serve their purpose exactly as described. That would be the main reason for a 5 star review from me. I have already decided to get a bit more creative with the types of kebabs to try on the sear station so it helped open up more possibilities for me thanks to the high heat that can be attained from the ceramic sear station. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to open up some more possibilities using their sear station"
"Received the Side Burner windshield about 3 weeks ago. Have used it twice, once for finishing off a Ribeye Steak (Reverse sear method) and once for cook Beef Kabobs. I have owned my Napolean for about a year and truly like having the side burner. I had cooked steaks directly on the cast iron grate, but found it messy and not the way I like to finish a steak. I think the Windshield provides extra control of the grease splashing and wind control. Personally, I like to have a cast iron pan to finish my steak off. For the Kabobs, the design of the unit makes a lot of sense. The ability to turn and lock the spit rods at different angles is great. Cooking in this manner was quick and easy clean up. My con to this is the spit rods are too wide to slide meat and especially vegetables on the rods. In most cases I found it split the peppers and onions in half. I also found putting four rods on the unit was very crowded. The two positions on the outside were slightly off the burner area. I would suggest having three positions. This would give you more room for the food to be spaced out. I liked the shipping box and how the unit arrived at the house. Very well packed. I would like to have a little more detail instructions with pictures or drawings. A simple page inserted in the box with step directions and same recipes."
"I live in a very windy area and this works awesome."
"Right as described, fits well"
"The wind protection aspect of this was a much needed addition to my Napoleon PP665. The addition of the skewers and the ability to add two more levels for the sear station grate, make it very versatile."
