"First, let me say that I am satisfied with this kit. I received the kit promptly and it worked and was easy to install. With that said, I purchased this item to replace a faulty UN3 receiver. I had an online chat and I asked if I needed to purchase this kit (Skytech RCAF-1020-1 Remote Control Kit) or if I could purchase the UN3 receiver separately as listed on the web site and use my existing remote transmitter (RCAF-1020). I was told that my existing remote transmitter probably would not work since it was over 5 years old and the newer units used different frequencies, so I bought this kit. Once I received the kit, I installed the new UN3 receiver and set up the new remote transmitter (RCAF-1020) and everything worked fine. I decided to try the old RCAF-1020 transmitter that I had from my old unit and found that it also works with the new UN3 receiver. Although I am satisfied with this new unit, I spent over $50 more than what I had to because I was told my old remote transmitter probably would not work."
