"i just received this griddle insert, it is -20 outside - when do you expect me to try it out,,,,,maybe in about 5 months. Ask me then!"
"The griddle itself is a good quality product. My concern is with the grease management. I cooked bacon and had 2 internal fires below the 2 corner holes. Once the griddle was cleaned and cooled down I removed the griddle and it did appear clean in the firebox. So I’m unsure? One other note, I have a Prestige Pro 500. The griddle fits well from to back but both sides are short by approximately 1. 5”."
"Out of the box, this griddle will NOT fit a Prestige 450, but I found it was easily altered to fit. As it is designed to fit the larger surface area of a Prestige 500, the rear spacer needs 1/4” cut off each side, and a small notch cut (see attached photos). The griddle is also too large front to back, but a couple of self-tapping screws along the back edge and inside the front lip of the barbecue prevent any movement. This griddle is really well made. Being stainless steel, there’s no seasoning needed - just clean with water after use to steam clean any food residue off. Cooking with it is a fantastic experience, and I don’t have to add flat top that would occupy more space on my deck."
"I received this griddle a couple weeks ago and have used it twice…. . had NO idea how versatile it would be! Family brunch with pancakes and bacon on the griddle outside was SO fun and cooked it all beautifully ……and made me feel like a diner chef ☺️Here is stir fry veggies and chicken burgers home made, responded to temp changes really well and cooked perfectly !! Glad I didn’t rush to buy a Blackstone griddle, this cooks amazing !"
"This thing is beautiful. 1-well made 2-easy to start using 3-large grilling area 4-solid construction So I used this thing for the first time and it was a fun time. This is a great addition to my grilling area. The only down fall is that when you add this I would love a bigger grease trap. But other than that this accessory is one of the best"
"Great Griddle!!!"
"Received this free from Napoleon for testing purposes. I thought it worked great. First thing I made of course were smash burgers. Set up was quite easy. The griddle performed great with no issues. Also did some fried onion to go on the burgers. Que happy with this product. Would have given 5 stars if there was a way to attach bins to the griddle to catch the grease. When grease goes in the drain holes it flares up quite bad. So ended up trying not to let the grease go down the holes and soaked it up with paper towel after cooking. I'd recommend this product for sure. Happy grilling/griddling! Cheers"
"I received this as part of a test promotion from Napoleon. The griddle itself feels sturdy and made of high quality stainless steel (with ridge support underneath). The venting around the edge also is great, and avoids dumping heat to the front panel and knobs. Between fajitas, high moisture pizza dough and eggs, it’s held up extremely well. Either way with the proper amount of oil and heat, it’ll handle anything you want to throw at it. Couple things to note; - there’s a coating of machine oil on it, so a good scrub is vital before using it - the drain holes at the back are large and easy to drop stuff through, so the right amount of oil is key to avoid flare ups."
"I am blessed to be part of the Napoleon Tester Team program and was selected to test the Stainless Steel Griddle Insert on my ROGUE XT 625 SS NG. I have the Napoleon Enameled Cast Iron Griddle but now I have a bigger area to work on. Size - to put in perspective the Stainless Steel Griddle Insert can hold 15 Costco sirloin burgers and is a joy to work on. Ease of cleaning - nothing sticks and washes away easily! Whether you want to cook breakfast or make smash burgers this is definitely an accessory you will want to have for your grilling setup!"
"I had been looking to get an outdoor griddle but was concerned about space as I already have 3 grills. So it was great to receive an offer to test and review a griddle insert. It was surprisingly heavy and well constructed. As you can see from the pictures there are welded cross members underneath which I presume is to minimize flexing when it heats up. It's thick gauge steel and will last forever. It is difficult to clean in a typical kitchen sink and could get messy trying to clean it while its in the grills. It fits the grill (825RBSI) pretty well. There is a space on each side, which I presume its so you don't get your fingers caught/trapped while dropping in the insert. I saw alot of great pictures of breakfast, so I figured I would test it out as a teppanyaki grill. Made some kimchi fried rice and a grilled eel (precooked). It turned out great and no worries of stinking up the house from the cooking. As you can see the grill will be a pain to clean. Hopefully with more practice, I can get it to be more non-stick while cooking."
