"This charcoal starter is built heavy duty. It holds a lot of charcoal and lights easily. Handle gets a little bit warm. I needed both hands to turn over due to the weight. Has a great spout which is a nice feature. Overall I would recommend using it to start bbq."

"What a great charcoal starter by Napoleon! This chimney is faster at lighting charcoal than my old starter, holds more charcoal, is much studier, and built from solid steel. I appreciate the added safety features: a heat shield to protect your hand, a flared flange on the rim to direct flames away from the user, and a contoured handle. My only complaint is the sticker on the heat shield: it is hard to scrape it off - the glue is too strong! Paired with my Rogue 525 and the cast iron charcoal smoker tray, I have the perfect all around set up for BBQing. I'm expecting this chimney to be my regular charcoal starter for many years ahead."

"I received from Napoleon a new Premium Charcoal Starter for testing purposes which I got to try out this long weekend. It was a great upgrade from my old chimney with thicker metal, an easy to use handle and a lip to keep from pouring the lit charcoals on my hand when putting them in to the smoker. The premium nature of the metal is appreciated. The only thing I would change is to put some mesh into the bottom of the chimney to keep smaller charcoal from spilling out."
Awesome & heavy duty Starter!!!
"I have owned the Napoleon Premium Charcoal Starter for about 8 weeks now & have used it at least 6 times so far, and really happy with this product. I regret that I did not get this before, to save the struggle to burn the charcoal directly in the grill, which becomes a big hassle and sometimes takes forever to ready the grill. The real benefit is that the coal is ready in about 15 to 20 minutes to fill up a large capacity grill. Few old flyers/newspaper sheets is all you need to get going with this charcoal starter. I recommend using gloves while handling this as it can become really hot!!! I also make sure not to expose to rain and keep it inside after every use. This is a heavy-duty starter, and the top flange and the handle shield really help to protect your hands while using the hot coal to dump into the charcoal. This is a must-have accessory for any charcoal grill enthusiast - It is fast, safe, and built to perform for a long time. I hope this will be a great buddy of my grill for many years!!!"
Great features, more vent quick burn faster to the Q
"I recieved this product to test. It came will packaged. The starter is extremely light in weight. I was very impressed by the amount of charcoal it can hold. Significantly more than my old one. The flange on the top saves the forearms when dumping the starter. The cool touch handle works, but still wear gloves as there is heat on the plate behind. A little disappointed that the advertising on that plate is a sticker and difficult to remove. . . I couldn't get it off. I hope it doesn't become gummy residue there more use and heat it absorbs. Pic 1 - Can full of charcoal Pic 2,3,4 - in order 1-4 minutes after starting, lots of vent holes leads to quick ignition Pic 5- 10 min white hot, unable to hold hand over top Pic 6- cool touch handle at 12 minutes. Handle cook, plate a little toasty A great product, more vent holes means quicker to the cook!"
